Description
The winery of the Agricultural Cooperative of Alió is one of the so-called "cathedrals of wine" that Cèsar Martinell, a disciple of Gaudí, designed in the Alt Camp during the era of agricultural cooperativism. The building stands out for the parabolic arches of exposed brick that support the nave and for the natural lighting designed to work the wine in optimal conditions.
It is part of the group of modernist wineries on the Costa Daurada, witnesses of the moment in which architecture was put at the service of the countryside.
