The first time you go rallying it is fascinating to see how the floods of fans look for the best bend to watch the cars skid by. With the sandwich in one hand and the chair in the other, the camera or video hanging around his neck, the cap on his head to protect himself from the sun and a smile from ear to ear. The Rally Catalunya-Costa Daurada awakens the adrenaline of thousands of people every year and you, if you have never experienced it, will be trapped when you see the first car pass by.

Find the best place on the rally stages

Getting up when the sun has not yet risen is the best way to avoid traffic jams and access the sections marked for the public. The organization and the Mossos d'Esquadra will tell you where you can park and where you should position yourself to see the cars in complete safety. If you use common sense and listen to the recommendations, there is nothing to fear and the show is guaranteed!

The Costa Daurada rally has varied sections, where you can play with the different speeds. Salou, as a nerve center, has hosted this event of the World Rally Championship (WRC) since 2005. It should be noted that, from 2010 to the present, this is the only mixed event in the championship, as it combines asphalt sections with gravel sections. The Costa Daurada, the city of Salou and the PortAventura World theme and leisure park are the central nucleus of RallyRACC and, therefore, the meeting point of the world of rallying during the days of the gravel and asphalt competition!

Mountain sections alternate with flatter ones, and the Costa Daurada is an area that allows you to make some mountain passes such as, for example, the Coll d'Aumet. You have to be attentive when the route of each year is announced to be able to choose from which place you will see the cars pass. Normally cars pass through places such as the Priorat, the Baix Camp, the Baix Penedès or the Terra Alta, in the Terres de l'Ebre. Sometimes the mountains draw natural amphitheaters, ideal for sitting and enjoying the spectacle and speed. If you are more urban, you will also be able to witness the urban section live, which is very popular with drivers, and which allows a magnificent contact between fans and the rally. A diverse route, worthy of the World Rally Championship for its long, fast and demanding curves!

Halloween at PortAventura World

And since you've uncorked the adrenaline jar... don't stop! In autumn the largest theme park in the Mediterranean gets more terrifyingly fun than ever. All the corners and shows of PortAventura World from September to November are filled with monsters, zombies and ghosts that roam among the attractions and make a visit to the park an experience that makes your hair stand on end! You will see sinister characters such as Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein or the endearing Adams family parade. If you try to take a picture with them, be very careful they don't take you into their spooky world!

Offers to spend autumn at PortAventura World

The Halloween party is a good excuse to enjoy PortAventura World with the children. Explore the worlds of Polynesia, the Mediterranean, China, Mexico, the Far West and Sesame Adventure. And climb the record-breaking attraction, Shambhala, one of the highest roller coasters in Europe (76 meters), with the largest (78 meters) and fastest (134 km/h) fall on the continent. Quite a challenge! In addition, during autumn, the park offers special prices if you stay overnight in one of the 4-star themed hotels on the site.

Route of the viewpoints in Salou

Did you know that Salou has 25 spectacular viewpoints? Spaces to rest for a while looking at the sea or to read a book on a bench enjoying the sea breeze. This route of viewpoints is a pleasant way to walk under the open and sunny skies of the Costa Daurada and, at the same time, with the intense Mediterranean blue. A path between sea and mountain, surrounded by forest mass and typical native vegetation. In addition, the final project includes up to 43 viewpoints to have 43 different perspectives of seeing reality!

Once the route is finished, you can choose to take a walk around the city center and do some shopping in Salou. And when it gets dark, the color is provided by the ornamental fountains. The Luminous Fountain, in Plaça Francesc Germà, offers 210 combinations of water that flows from 100 fountains accompanied by music. It has been one of the great attractions of the municipality for 40 years. It must be said that, due to the drought, from the beginning of November to spring, the ornamental fountains of Salou will be out of service.
